2:03 pm	stella we keep talking about getting back to our nations roots by eating at restaurants that have big signs that say 'EAT' or 'RESTAURANT', gas stations that say 'GAS', and motels that say 'MOTEL'. i'll try to find some corresponding pictures if yous aint catching my drift. do you like reno 911? stella? wet hot american summer? the new spokesman for sierra mist? if you do then you need to watch the old school sketch comedy show 'the state'. it was on mtv in the mid 90s and the funniest show on television in my opinion. this here is your STATE/STELLA starter kit. 2:32 am	part 3 PART 3 we just ate at a little diner off of the baker city OR exit - also home to the oregon trail museum. the sumter junction restaurant had much to offer including free pie and a toy train that looped the dining room. I think the train passed 5 times in our stay. small town usa. its starting to freak me out that I'm not only starting to know the areas around the clubs we frequent but also the small towns like baker city where we stop for gas, food, or sleep. we stayed in baker city on our last tour - so fresh in my mind I feel like we were just here. its nitetime in the van now. 3:37 pm	back baby i went to see relient k last nite i hung out with their singer matt he might be the nicest guy i ever met i'm going to see ben folds in a little bit good music. saves the day is playing this week also. good timing pittsburgh. i slept for 11 hrs last nite. i could sleep 11 more. my room is clean as a whistle. what does everyone think of our new songs? favorites? do oh do tell. who's getting one of these? 7:22 pm	dougday (i wrote this a few days ago, but am just now posting it so BACK OFF) today is dougs birthday. he is 23. i've known him for a good 5 years or so. he's one of my best friends and today we celebrate his life. i just wish there was more to do. i'm sitting right next to him now and he's on his computer to. we're sitting on a balcony that overlooks the house at the fillmore in san francisco. Catch 22 is playing right now and we have the best seats in the house. Such good seats they have wireless internet! I need to get back to my roots. I need to start thinking more. I need a day off. I need to record the 50 songs I'm working on. I need to quit complaining so much. I should read more. Whats up FBriends. I like you guys. Mary Kate is downstairs. I'm gonna go buy her a beer. 1:33 am	damn francisco today is dougs birthday. he is 23. i've known him for a good 5 years or so. he's one of my best friends and today we celebrate his life. i just wish there was more to do. i'm sitting right next to him now and he's on his computer to. we're sitting on a balcony that overlooks the house at the fillmore in san francisco. 10:23 am	baked beans in a flashlight and other oddities i once saw an episode of the brady bunch where bobby and cindy delivered baked beans to a runaway kid. they stowed the beans in place of the batteries in a flashlight. how clever. i'm a runaway and you remind me of bobby and cindy if they had a kid, maybe i could get some flash beans? this is strange request i know, but they are making me type it. i swear. another thing i'm trying to get is a painting of a freezeframe from rocky (i forget which one) where rocky and appollo are hugging in mid-air on the beach after a race. also, if you have any zip discs that would be sweet. you see, while other fbr artists are writing depressing poetry for yall, i'll be here being way weirder and eating my beans in a light. but here's a poem to close: those eyes they look at me with such desperation they ate the pills the ones you shouldn't take together they made the kill the ones that shouldn't stay together the and they became so tight bring me some beans in a light x steve Current Mood: birdy Current Music: birds (7 Comments |Comment on this)

1:41 pm	yeo i know i haven't posted here in quite some time but i have fell in love with posting in the journal on our own site. but here's a little love for all of the real deal live journalers out there: I am currently in New Hampshire. I've only been here once before but that was only for about 30 minutes because we showed up to a show that had been cancelled. It was bunk. Now we are here and today I will form my opinion on what I think of this state. I'm sure it won't be much different as most states really aren't unless you're way far from home. I've been listening to the new Jimmy Eat World which was given to me as a present. The whole burning thing is wrong unless you are seriously dirt poor like myself and love music. I'll eventually by the album becasue I am a huge JEW fan. Lovem. I spent 24 hours in our van yesterday driving from Madison Wisconsin (which is madison wisawesome) to New Hampshire. What a day. I had the worst case of van legs. I went for a walk this morning and did some push ups which is about the extent of my exercise program. The only reason I do push ups is to wake me up. I stretch also, you should try it in the morning it really makes a difference. I haven't been in 'every nite is the best nite of my life' mode recently. I'm not sure why but I think I've been more stressed out lately than I have in a while. But its still not even really that much. I just went thru a phase where there was no stress for a long long time. I'll be ok. Good songs (or songs at all) come from this. I wrote like 4 or 5 songs in the last week that I am pretty happy with. It is my turn to shower. I just wanted to say hello. See you all soon. Miss you. x steve (9 Comments |Comment on this)
